Our Story

Flavio is a Software Engineer with experience leading projects and ventures of his own from a young age. That path led him, from 2016 onward, to seek out a space where he could truly experience high-quality coffee: a place designed for people who create, build and inspire. Every one of those projects needed a place to step out of the routine and enter a state of flow, and that place, almost always, ended up being a coffee shop.

That search took shape at the end of 2022, after leaving the software world unexpectedly and a trip through several countries that finally gave clarity to the idea. Along the way he discovered specialty coffee shops — some well-known, others almost secret — and each one had something that made it its own: a style, an identity, a reason for being. That is where the name Nítido comes from: an idea of clarity, elegance and simplicity with depth — the vision of a refined, almost luxurious space for those who build with intention.

Giving shape to that idea took several months of work. After navigating various challenges and as the self-imposed opening deadline approached, his relationship with Toshio Fudimoto, founder of Kaldi’s Coffee & Tea, evolved from mentorship to partnership. Together they opened the doors on August 18, 2023, in the heart of San Isidro’s financial district — the right place for the audience they had imagined from the start. Toshio’s experience was key to implementing certain operational processes.

The quality and traceability of our origins are not something we need to highlight; they are something we live every day. Every detail of the space — the music, the cups, the flower vases — is conceived from elegant simplicity: simple things, but with a specific touch capable of sparking creativity while giving you the space to continue your day at your own pace.

We are serious about what we do, but never solemn. That is a distinction that matters to us. Like the professional who is serious yet also has a playful and creative side, at Nítido, every playlist is curated by moment, every member of the team is an essential part of the experience, and every corner is designed so you find your rhythm without anyone having to tell you.
